Were you successful in getting this to work?

If not, as others have said, we recommend upgrading to the latest ECF 4.1.2 code.

Following the upgrade, please see our wiki site for the most up-to-date configuration instructions - http://docs.mediachase.com/doku.php?id=ecf:41:tutorials:stats

Re: Stats service Succeeded "False" all the way. Please help.

The ClassId in the error is the LogParser dll. I just installed LogParser 2.2 on a new system and the file version I have for the logparser.dll is 2.1.5.0.  I would try uninstalling LogParser and reinstalling it.  If I recall I had to create my own com RCW for the dll and put it into my project before I could get it to work right.

I am not the developer, just the IT person, so could you please explain what you mean by creating your own RCW?

Re: Stats service Succeeded "False" all the way. Please help.

I am not sure what the problem is. My only conclusion is that it appears to be some kind of configuration or permissions issue.

    1) Are you using a hosting company? If so, make sure the hosting company follows these requirements - http://www.mediachase.com/Community/forums/post/5801.aspx

    2) What version of SQL Server + SP level are you running? Have you applied the latest patches?

Thanks for the reply.  Here are the answers to your questions:

    1)  No, but the website was developed off-site.  They were unable to come up with a solution for the issue.
    2) We are using SQL Server 2005 SP2

Thanks for any additional help you can provide.

Re: Stats service Succeeded "False" all the way. Please help.

    Were those links helpful?

If this solution was developed by another company, I am afraid that it is difficult to support it because they may have customized the code.  If you are on the latest code base and all SQL upgrade scripts have been run on your database and the custom code is not interfering, then the statistics should be working. Would it be possible to find the sections of the framework that were customized (if any)?

I think I have exhausted all possible troubleshooting tips. If this is really urgent, like I mentioned before, you have the option of purchasing Priority Support.

Re: Stats service Succeeded "False" all the way. Please help.

I finally figured it out.  Since it is a 64 bit machine,I had to make sure I was using the 64 bit dll.  Even though I installed the 64 bit version, the server was still trying to use a 32 bit version. I ran a search for the .dll file and found there was another copy of it in the web folder.  I then decided to try and unregister the 32 bit version and reregister the 64 bit version.  After that it worked.  Thanks for all your help!
